Missed on Ebay: Aspen & Fir from 1994

This one snuck by me!  Aspen & Fir from 1994.  A nice snowy scene.  I wonder where it ended up?  A first time fan or a repeat?  I like the extra blue paint that ended up on the back.

  

Two New Ebay Paintings

It looks like the same seller just found two Ruth Dicker paintings in the Santa Cruz area, both from the 1960's.  One is more of a mid-century modern style, while the other shows early signs of Dicker's later tree works.

Almond Blossoms and Mustard on Ebay

Here's a really nice piece available for sale on Ebay, currently:

It is titled Almond Blossoms and Mustard and it was painted in 1981.  It appears to be for sale in Arizona now, but was originally located in Carmel for many years.  A few more paintings came up for sale in Carmel recently, so I wonder if this one is related.

Maples for sale on eBay

A new painting has shown up in Ebay called Maples from 1979.  I think it is actually a miniature, which suggests there is a full size version out there somewhere.  I looked through some pictures, but nothing looked like a match.

Big Sur on Ebay

There's a painting on Ebay right now called Big Sur from 1997.  Interestingly enough, I don't think I have ever seen or or have any records of it previously.  That doesn't happen very often!

Japanese Maple on Ebay

This owner contacted me a few months ago and somehow I forgot to post it.  It is now available for sale on ebay.  It is called Japanese Maple or Japanese Maple with Moon from 2000.  It was one of the last few paintings that I remember being worked on in the studio before she stopped painting.  I have a picture of it in my archives here.

Oaks with Poppies on Ebay

Wow, look at this one, also.  It is titled Oaks with Poppies and it is from 1992.  It is definitely one that I have seen before and I have a photo of it in slides.  The photos feature seems to have changed on here so I need to double check some of the links.

For Sale on Ebay: Inskip from 1961

I noticed a Ruth Dicker painting for sale on Ebay recently and coincidentally, one of my readers wrote in to tell me about it, as well.  (Thanks!)  It appears that the painting is no longer available, but I was able to get some pictures of it.

Mustard Field II

This painting was recently found a thrift store and offered up for sale on ebay.  It is called Mustard Field II from 1982.  What other paintings are out there waiting to be found?

Yellow Field

A Ruth Dicker painting recently showed up on Ebay. The painting is called Yellow Field and is from 1965. It appears to still have its original tags on the back and it was sold at the Christmas Festival Sales Exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Art in 1966. Happy Bidding.

Edge of October

It looks like a 1964 Ruth Dicker painting was on ebay recently. I can't tell exactly when it was for sale, but the auction appears to have ended. It is titled Edge of October.

It appears extremely similar to this painting from 1964.

Three paintings and a wood sculpture

I was contacted by another fan who is looking for a new home for some Ruth Dicker paintings. They look like nice mid 60's pieces, three paintings and a wood sculpture.

He is interested in selling them on ebay or craigslist, so they will probably end up there soon. I'll add an update with the links if they do become available.

Recent Ebay Activity

Two Ruth Dicker paintings sold on ebay today. I considered bidding on them, but am running low on wall space. I still thought about buying and storing them, but instead I told some of my friends. One of them managed to be a winning bidder!

Orange Paper Moon

In mid december I was still looking around for a gift to get my brother. I had this idea of finding him an early abstract Ruth Dicker painting, but didn't know how I was going to make that happen. A woman in Sacramento contacted me with a great painting and she shipped it. Everything worked out great. Here it is, Orange Paper Moon from 1962:

Posters

Ruth had a number of shows at the Nut Tree in Vacaville, CA and at least three of them had posters produced for the show. Somewhere I have a large collection of these posters, but they also show up frequently on ebay. One ebay seller in particular, Broadway Comics and Cards, usually seems to have at least two of the poster styles for sale.

$7.99 sounds like a bargain to me. I will try to find a picture of the third poster as well.
